Jacob E. Long was born March 25, 1815 in Bedford County, Pennsylvania.  He was married to Elizabeth Zook, daughter of David Zook and Nancy Mack, who is my 2nd cousin 5x removed via the Macks.

George W. Mosier was born March 25, 1859 in Ohio.  He was married to Mary Margaret Sellers, daughter of Joseph Sellers and Leah Crumrine, who is my 4th cousin 3x removed.

Elwood Allen, son of John Murdock Allen and Katherine Housell Space, was born March 25, 1915 in New Jersey, probably in Burlington County.  He is my 5th cousin on my Gauntt line through the Allens.

Maurice Allen, son of Elwood Lambert Allen and Beatrice Graham, was born March 25, 1929 in New Jersey.  He is my 5th cousin on my Gauntt line through the Allens.

James Carroll Selover was born March 25, 1929 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California.  He is the third husband of Mabel Ellen Elizabeth Brickel, daughter of James Newbill Armstrong and Beatrice Ruth Anne Swain, who is my 2nd cousin once removed on my Armstrong line through the Swains.

Clifford Adlain Gauntt, son of Clifford Benjamin Gauntt and Lillie May Pitts, was born March 25, 1947 in Alton, Madison County, Illinois.  He is my 4th cousin.

Jerry Wright, son of Alvin Wright and Dorothy Simcox, was born March 25, 1951.  He is the 2nd cousin of my 1st cousin Albert Lore on his Eckman line.

Herbert J. Gaunt, son of Charles Jacob Gaunt, Jr. and Ruth Ann Schinnerer, was born March 25, 1955, possibly in Indiana.  He is my 6th cousin.

Stacey L. Gordon was born March 25, 1961 iN San Diego County, California.  She is the 1st cousin once removed of my aunt Mary McStroul.

Deaths

Margaret K. Githens, daughter of Thomas Githens and Mary Gaunt, died March 25, 1900 at the age of 79, probably in Cumberland County, New Jersey.  She is my 2nd cousin 4x removed via the Gaunts.

Charles R. Gaunt, son of Benjamin Franklin Gaunt and Elizabeth K. Frazer, died March 25, 1906 at the age of 65 in Mount Holly, Burlington County, New Jersey.  He is my 2nd cousin 3x removed.

Jane Paxson Pearson, daughter of Hiram H. Pearson and Sidney Godshalk, died March 25, 1923 at the age of about 77, possibly in Pennsylvania.  She is my 1st cousin 4x removed via the Godshalks.

Catherine S. Dunn, daughter of Patrick J. Dunn and Catherine Bowden, died March 25, 1939 at the age of 71 in South Orange, Essex County, New Jersey.  She is the maternal great-grandmother of my half-sister Laurie Sellers.

Frank Eckman, son of John Eckman and Martha Johnson Atkinson, died March 25, 1964 at the age of 63 in Mount Holly, Burlington County, New Jersey.  He is the paternal granduncle of my 1st cousin Albert Lore.

Leon Furman, son of Benjamin Furman and Sarah Meckler, died March 25, 2008 at the age of 84, probably in New York.  He is my 1st cousin once removed through the Mecklers.

Okay, here's mine:

According to the BBC site, when I was born on April 9, 1962 (yes, my birthday is coming up in a mere two days) I was the 3,139,677,413rd (which the site had as 3,139,677,413th) person alive on the planet.  Apparently I was the 76,883,755,328th person born over the course of Earth's history.

Because Randy mentioned it, I also determined how many people were born on my birthday, which turned out to be 159,097, or at least that's the difference between the number on April 9 and that of April 10 (3,139,836,510).  So that means that 77,595 fewer people were born on my birth date than on Randy's.

My father was the 2,191,765,540th person born, and my mother the 2,308,070,206th.

Randy wondered if there will ever be an online family tree with the names of everyone ever born.  That is the intended purpose of the FamilySearch Family Tree, but it's a good question whether it will ever happen.

I really need to install Reunion on my laptop.  Every time I'm away from home, I can't post my family event information, becase I can't search intelligently in the Family Tree Maker database.  Now I'm playing catch-up again.  I'm going to need to start posting two to three lists a day!

Catherine Leckrone, daughter of Jacob Leckrone and Agnes Mack, was born March 24, 1834 in Ohio,  possibly in Licking County.  She is my 4rd cousin 4x removed cousin via the Macks.

Dorthea Virginia Lynch was born March 24, 1919 in Swayzee, Grant County, Indiana.  She was married to Charles Robert Clark, son of Oren Wilson Clark and Anna Gaunt, who is my 4th cousin 2x removed via the Gaunts.

William Hymell Kelley, son of Joseph Kelley and Martha W. Lawrence, was born March 24, 1926 in Cream Ridge, Monmouth County, New Jersey.  He is the 2nd cousin once removed of my 1st cousin Albert Lore.

Richard Hacker was born March 24, 1954 in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York.  He is married to Neva Perlman, daughter of Murray Elliot Perlman and Helen Ruth Greenebaum, who is my 4th cousin on my Nowicki line through the Perlmans.

Jennifer Elizabeth Ellis was born March 24, 1972 in Massachusetts.  She is my 2nd cousin once removed on my Nowicki line.

Marriages

John Robert Eckman, son of John Eckman and Martha Johnson Atkinson, and Mary Sousa were married on March 24, 1923 in Burlington, Burlington County, New Jersey.  John is the paternal grandfather of my 1st cousin Albert Lore.

Israel Garfinkel, son of Yikusee'ael Koifman Garfinkel and Sora Rivka Mekler, and Marsha Gerb were married on March 24, 1946 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.  Israel is my 2nd cousin 2x removed via the Meklers.

Death

Jacob Mack, son of William Mack and Agnes Gantz, died March 24, 1855 at the age of 81 in Brownsville, Licking County, Ohio.  He is my 1st cousin 6x removed.

I always find the coincidences of small clusters to be interesting.  For instance, three of the five deaths for this date are spouses of my relatives.

Hananiah Gantt (originally Gaunt), son of Joseph Gaunt and Mary A. Lobaugh, was born March 23, 1801, probably in Pennsylvania.  He is my 1st cousin 5x removed.

Frederick Gantt (originally Gaunt), son of Joseph Gaunt and Mary A. Lobaugh, was born March 23, 1807, on the birthday of his brother Hananiah Gantt (above), also probably in Pennsylvania.  He is also my 1st cousin 5x removed.

William F. Sellers, son of Tobias Sellers and Elizabeth Faber, was born March 23, 1810 in Franconia, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.  He is my 1st cousin 4x removed.

Ella Zilpha Gauntt, daughter of Redden N. Gauntt and Pauline E. Smoot, was born March 23, 1853 in Indiana, probably in Jay County.  She is my 3rd cousin 3x removed.

Clarence Robert Laverne Newman was born March 23, 1926 in Lockport, Niagara County, New York.  He was married to Ruth Anne Appleton, daughter of Chester Lewis Appleton and Ruth Carrie Stradling, who is my 1st cousin on my Gauntt line through the Stradlings.

Charles Jacob Gaunt, Jr., son of Charles Jacob Gaunt and Clara Rathert, was born March 23, 1928 in Indiana.  He is my 5th cousin once removed.

Brian James Sellers was born March 23, 1997 in Bad Kreuznach, Germany.  He is my 2nd cousin once removed.

Deaths

Henry Hunsberger died March 23, 1854 at the age of 86, probably in Pennsylvania.  He was married to Catherine Darstein, daughter of Abraham Darstein and Catherine Sellers, who is my 2nd cousin 5x removed via the Sellerses.

Floyd Gaunt, son of David Clinton Gaunt and Martha Sophronia Hartman, died March 23, 1968 at the age of 76 iin Anderson, Marion County, Indiana.  He is my 4th cousin 2x removed.

Louis Mark Leonard died March 23, 1980 at the age of 70 in Los Angeles County, California, possibly in Encino.  He was married to Elsie Meckler, daughter of Morris Meckler and Minnie Zelda Nowicki, who is my maternal grandaunt.

Bertha M. Spangler died March 23, 1998 at the age of 60, possibly in New Jersey.  She was married to Mark Lewallen Gauntt, Jr., son of Mark Lewallen Gauntt, Sr. and May Ethyl Lake, who is my 4th cousin once removed.

Bertha May Gaunt, daughter of William Alvin Gaunt and Mamie B. Mitchell, died March 23, 1999 at the age of 84, possibly in San Jose, Santa Clara County, California.  She is my 4th cousin 2x removed.

Three men named Franklin are in the list for March 22.  My guess is that they were named for Benjamin Franklin.

Jean Anne Clark, daughter of Oliver Franklin Clark and Mildred Blanche Benson, was born March 22, 1933 in La Fontaine, Wabash County, Indiana.  She is my 5th cousin once removed on my Gauntt line through the Clarks.

Stephen Roy Chepenik was born March 22, 1945 in Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida.  He is married to Gail Arlene Gordon, daughter of Alexander Gordon and Roslyn Rubin, who is my 1st cousin once removed via the Gordons.

Michelle Lavin was born March 22, 1961 in Montclair, Essex County, New Jersey.  She is the 2nd cousin of my half-sister Laurie Sellers.

Noah Wright was born March 22, 1983.  He is the 2nd cousin once removed of my 1st cousin Albert Lore.

Matthew Lederman was born March 22, 2002.  He is my 3rd cousin on my Gordon line.

Marriages

Rinaldo Wise Gaunt, son of David Wise Gaunt and Margaret Williams, and Eulalia Marie Rice were married on March 22, 1924 in Allen County, Indiana.  Rinaldo is my 5th cousin once removed.

Robert Carpenter Guest and Anna Elizabeth Easlick, daughter of Daniel Leon Easlick and Ella Ritchie Mingen, were married on March 22, 1947, probably in New Jersey.  Anna is my 4th cousin on my Gauntt line through the Easlicks.

Peter E. Persoff, son of Jacob Persoff and Frieda Schneiderman, and Melanie Jane Kaye were married on March 22, 1969 in Manhattan, New York County, New York.  Peter is my 2nd cousin 2x removed via the Schneidermans.

Deaths

Stella J. Linerode, daughter of Milford Linerode and Rosanna Mack, died March 22, 1875 at the age of 10 days, probably in Ohio.  She is my 5th cousin 3x removed via the Macks.

Amos Williamson died March 22, 1884 at the age of about 69 in Columbus, Burlington County, New Jersey.  He was married to Rebecca Armstrong, daughter of Joel Armstrong and Catherine Stackhouse, who is my 3rd-great-grandaunt.

Oliver Franklin Flynn, son of Roscoe Sherman Flynn and Edna May Gauntt, died March 22, 1931 at the age of 2 months in Burlingotn County, New Jersey.  He is my 1st cousin once removed via the Gauntts.

Franklin Sherman Sellers, son of Samuel Sellers and Elizabeth Barton, died March 22, 1933 at the age of 68 in Lima, Allen County, Ohio.  He is my 4th cousin 3x removed.

Rinaldo Wise Gaunt, who was married on March 22 (see above), died in 1969 on his 45th wedding anniversary at the age of 66 in Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana.

Two Almost "April Fool's" Babies

Because April 1 has such a long history as a day of pranks, jokes, and hoaxes (dating back to, apparently, at least the 16th century), it's easy to feel sorry for someone whose birthday falls on that day.  Not only was I supposed to be one of those long-suffering souls, so was my brother.

My mother told me more than once (what was she trying to impress upon me?  hmmm . . . .)  that the original due date she was told for me and then for my brother the next year was April 1.  I took a week longer, but not enough to worry her.  When she did go into labor for my birth, she told me had a spinal and was reading a Mickey Spillane novel while I was being born.  I was born April 9, the anniversary of the official ending of the American Civil War.

My brother, however, was apparently comfortable where he was and didn't want to leave.  Two weeks after the due date had come and gone, my mother decided she had had enough and went out dancing.  Boom!  She went into labor, and so my brother was born April 15, which is Income Tax Day and the anniversary of the death of Abraham Lincoln and the sinking of the Titanic.  I don't know — is that worse than being an April Fool?

Elizabeth Jaudon Sellers, daughter of David Wampole Sellers and Anna Frances Jaquett, was born March 21, 1861 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.  She is my 4th cousin 3x removed.

Charles Jaquett Sellers, son of David Wampole Sellers and Anna Frances Jaquett, was born March 21, 1867 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, on his sister Elizabeth's birthday.  He is also, of course, my 4th cousin 3x removed.

Della Irella Sellers, daughter of Henry Sellers and Lavina Danner, was born March 21, 1880 in Auglaize County, Ohio.  Surprisingly, even she is my 4th cousin 3x removed.

Raymond Elmer Gaunt, son of Clarence Meridith Gaunt and Mary Grace Stewart, was born March 21, 1923 in Lost Hills, Kern County, California.  He is my 4th cousin 2x removed.

Gloria Jean Allen, daughter of Clarence Allen and Agnes Viola Ledger, was born March 21, 1941 in New Jersey.  She is my 5th cousin on my Gauntt line through the Allens.

Lisa Egyud was born March 21, 1961.  She is my 5th cousin once removed on my Gauntt line.

Jacob Gorgas died March 21, 1798 at the age of 69 in Ephrata, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.  He was married to Christena Mack, daughter of Johann Valentine Mack and Maria Hildebrand, who is my 1st cousin 7x removed.

Christena Holsinger, daughter of David Holsinger and Lydia Mack, died March 21, 1855 at the age of 26, possibly in Pennsylvania.  She is my 2nd cousin 5x removed via the Macks.

Samuel Andrew Sellers, son of John Wengard Sellers and Mary Melissa Conkle, died March 21, 1932 at the age of 79 in Ohio.  He is another 4th cousin 3x removed.

Thomas Gerald Allen, son of Elwood Lambert Allen and Beatrice Graham, was born March 20, 1931 in Little Egg Harbor, Burlington County, New Jersey.  He is my 5th cousin on my Gauntt line through the Allens.

Ruth Clara Ellis, daughter of Levi Ellis and Carrie Florence Gauntt, was born March 20, 1937 in Medford, Burlington County, New Jersey.  She is my 1st cousin once removed via the Gauntts.

David Clinton Gaunt, son of Burman J. Gaunt and Gretchen K. C. Hopman, and Carole Larene Porter were married on March 20, 1968 in Salt Lake County, Utah.  David is my 6th cousin. 

Neil Bennett and Patricia Ann Lore, daughter of Clarence Newcomb Lore and Dorothy Mae Sellers, were married on March 20, 1971 in Bridgeton, Cumberland County, New Jersey.  Pattie is my 1st cousin.

Deaths

Alexander Mack, Jr., son of Alexander Mack and Anna Margarethe Kling(en), died March 20, 1803 at the age of 90, probably in Germantown, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.  He is my 6th-great-grandfather.

Daniel W. Votaw died March 20, 1924 at the age of 76 in Noble Township, Wabash County, Indiana on his grandson's birthday (see Verling Votaw above).  He was married to Louisa Gaunt, daughter of Uz Gaunt and Sarah Ann Whitacre, who is my 2nd cousin 4x removed.

Mervin Gauntt Allen, son of John Murdock Allen and Katherine H. Space, died March 20, 2004 at the age of 86 in Jackson, Ocean County, New Jersey, on his son's birthday (see above).  He is my 4th cousin 2x removed on my Gauntt line through the Allens.
