Events in My Family Tree: March 5

Another day with no marriages, but several of the March 5 individuals were married to my relatives.


Clarence Newcomb "Zeke" Lore was born March 5, 1892 in Newport, Hudson County, New Jersey.  He was married to my aunt Dorothy Sellers.

Herbert Simon was born March 5, 1915, possibly in New York.  He was married to Sylvia Pollack, daughter of Isaac Pollack and Bessie Brainin, who is my 1st cousin 2x removed via the Brainins.

Barbara Jean Gaunt, daughter of William Alvin Gaunt and Mamie B. Mitchell, was born March 5, 1926 in Tulare County, California.  She is my 4th cousin 2x removed.

John Charles Gaunt, son of William Alvin Gaunt and Mamie B. Mitchell, was born March 5, 1933 in Monterey County, California.  He is Barbara Jean's brother and also my 4th cousin 2x removed.

Martin Herbert Meckler, son of Abraham Meckler and Lillyan E. Meckler, was born March 5, 1944 in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York.  He is my maternal uncle.

Angelia Lynn Olson was born March 5, 1968.  She was married to Dustin Tryce Lore, my 1st cousin once removed on my Sellers line.

Sarah Abigal Stone was born March 5, 1989, possibly in Seattle, Kings County, Washington.  She is my 2nd cousin on my Meckler line.

Michael Lewis Sarin was born March 5, 1990 in Morristown, Morris County, New Jersey.  He is my 3rd cousin once removed on my Gordon line.


Philip Henry Sellers, son of Philip Henry Söller and Catharina, died March 5, 1783 at the age of about 53 in Pennsylvania.  He is my 5th-great-granduncle.

David Holsinger died March 5, 1858 at the age of 80, possibly in Franklin County, Pennsylvania.  He was married to Lydia Mack, daughter of William Mack and Agenes Gantz, who is my 1st cousin 6x removed.

Clarence Meridith Gaunt, son of James Knox Gaunt and Sarah Naomi Boone, died March 5, 1935 at the age of 51 in Kern County, California.  He is my 3rd cousin 3x removed.

Ruth Schumeister, daughter of Henry Schumeister and Celia Perlmutter, died March 5, 1995 at the age of 76 in Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska.  She is my 3rd cousin once removed on my Nowicki line through the Perlmutters.
