Events in My Family Tree: July 17

A day with no deaths is always something to celebrate.

Births

Martha Ann Dunstan, daughter of Frederick Cleworth Dunstan and Martha Winn, was born July 17, 1863 in Openshaw, Lancashire, England.  She is my great-grandaunt.

George Stephen Altmaier, Jr. was born July 17, 1917 in Pennsylvania.  He was the husband of Ethyl May Gauntt, daughter of Mark Lewallen Gauntt, Jr. and Mary Ethyl Lake, who is my 4th cousin once removed on my Gauntt line.

Ervie Vernon Higgins, son of Ervie Oscar Higgins and Elizabeth Opal Gaunt, was born July 17, 1920 in Live Oak, Sutter County, California.  He is my 5th cousin once removed via the Gaunts.

Raymond Harold Rudin was born July 17, 1921 in Canora, Saskatchewan, Canada.  He was the husband of Ruth Garfinkel, daughter of Jack Garfinkel and Martha Freedman, who is my 3rd cousin once removed on my Meckler line through the Garfinkels.

William Lisker Franklin was born July 17, 1941.  He was the husband of Peggy Ann Phillips, daughter of Cecil Thurman Phillips, Jr. and Martha Ann Surran, who is my 4th cousin on my Gauntt line through the Surrans.

William Cecil Stricker, son of William Stricker and Mildred Ann Allen, was born July 17, 1944, likely in New Jersey.  He is my 5th cousin once removed on my Gauntt line through the Allens.

Brenda Sue Hill was born July 17, 1952.  She was the first wife of Clarence Gilbert Lore, son of Clarence Newcomb Lore and Dorothy Mae Sellers, who is my half 1st cousin via the Sellerses.

Douglas Jeffrey Brainin, son of Samuel Michael Brainin and Blanche Mildred Sax, was born July 17, 1956 in Whittier, Los Angeles County, California.  He is my 2nd cousin once removed on my Brainin line.

Marriages

Claude Wesley Gaunt, son of William Allen Gaunt and Margaret E. Gillogly, and Florence Manila Brooks were married July 17, 1919 in Lewiston, Fergus County, Montana.  Claude is my 4th cousin 2x removed via the Gaunts.

Peter Rowton and Heather Bijon Alexander were married July 17, 1982.  Heather is my 4th cousin once removed.
