I did a lot of research on the Bowkers. John, the man who married into my Armstrong family, was a blacksmith, so he was relatively easy to pick out in records.
Mary A. Lobaugh was born August 28, 1775, probably in New Jersey. She was the wife of Joseph Gaunt, son of Joseph Gaunt and Elizabeth Borton, who is my 4x-great-granduncle.
John B. Gaunt, son of James Gauntt and Amelia Gibson, was born August 28, 1856 in Buddtown, Burlington County, New Jersey. He is my great-granduncle.
Mary J. Bowker, daughter of John Bowker and Louisa J. Armstrong, was born August 28, 1863 in Mansfield Township, Burlington County, New Jersey. She is my 1st cousin 4x removed via the Armstrongs.
Clifford Ellsworth Hutson, Jr., son of Clifford Ellsworth Hutson and Alta Ada Gipson, was born August 28, 1924 in Indiana. He is my 6th couxin once removed on my Gauntt line through the Hutsons.
Michael Lipstein, son of Seymour Lipstein and Ruth Pollack, was born August 28, 1955, probably in New York. He is my 2nd cousin once removed on my Brainin line via the Pollacks.
Shane Freitag, son of Benny Freitag and Dobby Kushner, was born August 28, 1956 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He is my 4th cousin on my Meckler line via the Kushners.
Keith Michael Spencer, son of William Thomas Spencer, Jr. and Jeanette E. Hudson, was also born August 28, 1956, probably in New Jersey. He is my 5th cousin once removed on my Gauntt line via the Hudsons.
Amy Leigh Sorensen was born August 28, 1969. She is another 5th cousin once removed.
Michael William Allen was born August 28, 1983. He is my 5th cousin 2x removed.
John Heath, son of Henry Bullock Heath and Mary Ann Wood, and Sarah Colvin were married August 28, 1909 in Bakers Mills, Warren County, New York. John is the 1st cousin 2x removed of my aunt Mary McStroul on her Heath line.
Bessie Marie Hoyer, daughter of Rollin Henry Hoyer and Bessie Floreen Schwier, died August 28, 2001 in Osgood, Ripley County, Indiana at the age of 75. She is my 6th cousin once removed on my Gauntt line via the Schwiers.
Ellis Lester Thomas, son of Samuel Eli Thomas and Esther Jane Ellis, died August 28, 2005 in Greenville, Greenville County, South Carolina at the age of 66. He is my 2nd cousin on my Gauntt line via the Ellises.
