Edward Gaunt, son of Clayton Decou Gaunt and Sarah E. Edwards, was born October 28, 1863 in Mantua Township, Gloucester County, New Jersey.  He is my 4th cousin 3x removed via the Gaunts.

Ida M. Easlick, daughter of Allen Severs Easlick and Mary E. Shemeley, was born October 28, 1890 in Burlington County, New Jersey.  She is my 3rd cousin 1x removed on my Gauntt line through the Easlicks.

Denise Fagan was born October 28, 1952 in Mineola, Nassau County, New York.  She is the wife of Dale Lederman, son of Victor Lederman and Edith Albert, who is my 2nd cousin 1x removed on my Gorodetsky line through the Ledermans.

Clifford Barclay Townsend and Beatrice Fannie Allen, daughter of William Daily Allen and Fannie Goldsboro Brown, were married October 28, 1927, probably in Burlington County, New Jersey.  Beatrice is my 5th cousin on my Gauntt line through the Allens.

Morris Gordon (originally Moishe Gorodetsky), son of Victor Gordon (originally Avigdor Gorodetsky) and Esther Leah Schneiderman, and Rose Sopher were married October 28, 1928 in Baltimore City, Maryland.  Morris is my great-granduncle.

Alexander Gordon, son of Joe Gordon (originally Joine Gorodetsky) and Sarah Libby Brainin, and Roslyn Rubin were married October 28, 1939 in Bronx, Bronx County, New York.  Al is my granduncle.

Robert Paul Bukosky and Loretta Ann Carty, daughter of Wilmer Shreve Carty and Etta Marion Allen, were married October 28, 1968 in New Jersey.  Loretta is my 5th cousin 1x removed on my Gauntt line via the Allens.

Sam Meeckler (originally Meckler), son of Morris Mackler (originally Moishe Meckler) and Minnie Zelda Nowicki, died October 28, 1968 in Miami, Dade County, Florida.  He is my granduncle.

Clara Calicer died October 28, 1996 in Dade County, Florida.  She was the second wife of William Socherman (originally Szocherman), son of Chananiah Szocherman and Rozjla Perlmutter, who is my 3rd cousin 1x removed on my Nowicki line via the Perlmutters.

Ernest Alan James died October 28, 2009 in Burleston, Johnson County, Texas.  He was the second husband of Mary Lou Jocelyn Bowen, daughter of Francis Maria Bowen and Elsie Louise Gaynor, who is the mother of my half-sister Laura Sellers.

Events in My Family Tree: October 14

Hattie Fuller is the niece of Anna Fuller, which means that she and Don Heath were married on the 13th anniversary of Hattie's auntr's death.  I realize this type of anniversary has shown up before in my events lists, but I still think of it as kind of creepy.  But maybe this was a common thing a hundred years ago?  Was it done in honor of the deceased?  Or did people not pay attention to these types of anniversaries then?

Leo David Hannon was born October 14, 1895 in Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio.  He was the second husband of Hazel Pearl Gaunt, daughter of Ross B. Gaunt and Mary Ann Dale, who is my 4th cousin 2x removed via the Gaunts.

Murray Lederman, son of Gabriel William Lederman and Anna Gordon (originally Chantse Gorodetsky), was born October 14, 1939 in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York.  He is my 1st cousin 2x removed on my Gorodetsky line.

Arline Silver was born October 14, 1942 in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York.  She is the wife of Stephen Gershwind, son of Irving Lawrence Gershwind and Frances Perlman, who is my 2nd cousin 1x removed on my Nowicki line via the Perlmans.

Robert James Bagley was born October 14, 1945.  He is the husband of Lynn Wilma Carty, daughter of Wilmer Shreve Carty and Etta Marion Allen, who is my 5th cousin 1x removed on my Gauntt line via the Allens.

Linda Louise Egli, daughter of Gilbert Ayers Egli and Edith Esther Gaunt, was born October 14, 1946 in Los Angeles County, California.  She is my 5th cousin 1x removed via the Gaunts.

Don Howard Heath, son of John Timothy Heath and Mary Etta Smith, and Hattie Lorena Fuller, daughter of Joseph L. Fuller and Sarah R. Weaver, were married October 14, 1908 in Warrensburg, Warren County, New York.  They are the maternal grandparents of my aunt Mary McStroul and her sister Jean McStroul and the great-grandparents of my 1st cousin Todd Meckler and my not-quite-cousin Angela Williams.

Jonathan Panitch and Elizabeth Rachel Sinnreich were married October 14, 2012.  Elizabeth is my 3rd cousin.

Deaths

Anna E. Fuller died October 14, 1895 in Stony Creek, Warren County, New York at the age of 80.  She was the wife of James H. Fuller, son of John E. Fuller and Lorena G. Tripp, who is the great-granduncle of my aunt Mary McStroul and her sister Jean McStroul and the great-great-granduncle of my 1st cousin Andy Meckler and my not-quite-cousin Angela Williams.

Henry Craawford, Jr., son of Henry Crawford and America Brooks, died October 14, 1927 in Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia at the age of 39.  He is the great-granduncle of my not-quite-cousin Angela Williams.

Benjamin Franklin Gaunt, son of Benjamin Franklin Gaunt and Elizabeth K. Frazer, died October 14, 1939, probably in Burlington County, New Jersey, at the age of 78.  He is my 2nd cousin 3x removed via the Gaunts.

Roger Michael Farrier, son of Ivan Francis Felix Farrier and Merlin Veronic Williams, and Lorna Matilda Rayside, daughter of Arthur Sunny Rayside and Henrietta Hearst, were married September 19, 1976 in San Fernando, Trinidad, Trinidad and Tobago.  They are the parents of my sister-in-law, Sandra Farrier.

Jacob Gaunt, son of Benjamin Gaunt and Mary Sheets, died September 19, 1856 in Ohio at the age of 21.  He is my 2nd cousin 4x removed via the Gaunts.

Mary A. Gaunt, daughter of Isaac Gaunt and Susannah Webb, died September 19, 1887, probably in Burlington County, New Jersey, at the age of 75.  She is my 1st cousin 4x removed via the Gaunts.

Anna B. Folwell died September 19, 1925 in in Burlington, Burlington County, New Jersey at the age of 81.  She was the wife of Charles R. Gaunt, son of Benjamin Franklin Gaunt and Elizabeth K. Frazer, who is my 2nd cousin 3x removed via the Gaunts.

Susanna Sitler died May 25, 1891 at the age of about 76, probably in Pennsylvania or Ohio.  She was married to Jacob Longanecker, son of Daniel Longanecker and Sarah Mack, who is my 3rd cousin 5x removed via the Macks.

Francis John Gaynor, son of John Francis Gaynor and Wally Mary Ruppert, died May 25, 1991 at the age of 77 in New Milford, Bergen County, New Jersey.  He was the granduncle of my half-sister Laurie Sellers.

Adelle Cordelia Taylor died May 25, 2000 at the age of 86 in Crestview, Okaloosa County, Florida.  She was the third and final wife of Bertram Lynn Sellers, my paternal grandfather.

Edwin Bunting Eckman, son of John Eckman and Martha Johnson Atkinson, was born February 11, 1913 in New Jersey, possibly in Burlington County.  He is the granduncle of my 1st cousin Albert Lore.  He was married to Catherine Marie Sellers, daughter of Cornelius Elmer Sellers and Laura May Armstrong, who is my grandaunt.

Jacob Aaron Gordon was born February 11, 1998.  He is the 1st cousin 2x removed of my aunt Mary McStroul.
