Events in My Family Tree: April 18

Two days in a row with no marriages, which is unusual.  Also unusual is that there are no Sellers births, only deaths.

Births

Hannah Ann Peters was born April 18, 1826 in New Jersey.  She was married to Benjamin Selah Gaunt, son of Hananiah Selah Gaunt and Mary Elizabeth Rose, who is my 2nd-great-granduncle.

Jacob M. Gantt, son of Joseph Gantt (originally Gaunt) and Mary A. McGowan, was born April 18, 1832 in Pennsylvania, probably in Perry County.  He is my 2nd cousin 4x removed.

Lavonda Imogene Blaylock was born April 18, 1924 in Hammon, Custer or Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.  She was married to Harry Mark Gaunt, Jr., son of Harry Mark Gaunt and Sarah Gayle Kirkendall, who is my 5th cousin once removed.

Clifford W. Hanner, Jr., son of Clifford W. Hanner and Sarah Alice Gaunt, was born April 18, 1924 in Kings County, California.  He is also my 5th cousin once removed.

Lynn Silverberg Sapers was born April 18, 1958 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  She married Larry Charles Moss, who is my 4th cousin on my Meckler line.

Andrea Tolone was born April 18, 1968 in Staten Island, Richmond County, New York.  She married Bradley Sterling Mankin, who is the half-brother of my 2nd cousin once removed Jeff Gordon.

Debi Chase was born April 18, 1969.  She is my 4th cousin once removed on my Gauntt line.

John Joseph Preisner, Jr. was born April 18, 1973 in Tucson, Pima County, Arizona.  He is the nephew of my aunt Mary McStroul.

Allyson Denby McStroul was born April 18, 1975 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California.  She is the 1st cousin once removed of my aunt Mary McStroul.

Samantha Dylan Ortiz was born April 18, 1991 in Nassau County, New York.  She is my 3rd cousin on my Gordon line.

Twins Ryan and Zachary Maraw were born April 18, 1997.  They are my 2nd cousins 2x removed on my Sellers line.

Deaths

Catherine Darstein, daughter of Abraham Darstein and Catherine Sellers, died April 18, 1855 at the age of 72 in Hilltown Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.  She is my 2nd cousin 5x removed via the Sellerses.

Daniel Travis Coxe, son of Travis Coxe and Gertrude Leisenring Neale, died April 18, 1995 at the age of 43 in Marina del Rey, Los Angeles County, California.  He is my 7th cousin on my Sellers line through the Coxes.

I really went down the rabbit hole while working on this list.  I ended up researching the great-great-great-granchildren of Joseph Gaunt and Phoebe Severn!

Births

Tirzah Sellers, daughter of Abraham Sellers and Sophia Bodder, was born March 13, 1797 in Franconia Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.  She is my 3rd-great-grandaunt.

John Gaunt, son of John Gaunt and Mary Kinsey, was born March 13, 1799 in New Jersey.  He is my 1st cousin 5x removed.

Louisa Bowker, daughter of John Bowker and Louisa J. Armstrong, was born March 13, 1865 in Columbus, Burlington County, New Jersey.  She is my 1st cousin 4x removed via the Armstrongs.

Francis Travis Coxe, son of Marcellus Coxe and Florence Sellers, was born March 13, 1889 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.  He is my 5th cousin 2x removed via the Sellerses.

Howard L. Sellers, son of James Byron Sellers and Mary Catherine Baer, was born March 13, 1905 in Wapakoneta, Auglaize County, Ohio.  He is also my 5th cousin 2x removed.

Charles Ronald Bassett, son of Thomas Bassett and Marjorie A. Gaunt, was born March 13, 1930 in Skiatook, Osage or Tulsa County, Oklahoma.  He is my 5th cousin once removed via the Gaunts.

Ethlyn Brozovsky was born March 13, 1961 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  She is my 2nd cousin once removed on my Gorodetsky line.

James Gordon Church was born March 13, 1968 in Altadena, Los Angeles County, California.  He is my 6th cousin on my Gauntt line.

Avery Rennie was born March 13, 1996, probably in Canada.  He is my 4th cousin on my Meckler line.

Marriage

Conrad Zuiterman and Anna/Hannah Mack, daughter of Alexander Mack and Catherine Baker, were married on March 13, 1834, possibly in Pennsylvania.  Anna is my 3rd cousin 5x removed.

Deaths

Daniel Schiffer/Schifferer died March 13, 1829 at the age of 63, almost definitely in Gleiwitz, Obersilesia, Prussia.  He is the 3rd-great-grandfather of my aunt Mary McStroul.

Phoebe Emily Severn died March 13, 1870 at the age of 66 in Jay County, Indiana.  She was married to Joseph Gaunt, son of Jacob Gaunt and Hannah Holmes, who is my 1st cousin 5x removed.

Eckert Budd Gaunt, son of Daniel F. Gaunt and Mary E. Hancock, died March 13, 1915 at the age of 47, possibly in New Jersey.  He is my 3rd cousin 2x removed.

My cousin Beatrice Swain might have liked Capricorn men.  Her first husband, James Armstrong, was born January 13, and her second husband (below), Ralph Brickel, was born January 15.

Catharine Kulp was born January 15, 1773.  She was married to Abraham Sellers, son of John Leonard Sellers and Barbara, who is my 1st cousin 6x removed.

Hannah Gaunt, daughter of Jacob Gaunt and Hannah Holmes, was born January 15, 1806 in Ohio.  She is my 1st cousin 5x removed.

Harriet Sellers, daughter of John Leonard Sellers and Elizabeth Wenger, was born January 15, 1843 in Allen or Auglaize County, Ohio.  She is my 3rd cousin 4x removed.

Mercedes de Mederos, daughter of Thomas Mederos and Mercedes Cabanas, was born January 15, 1895 in Cuba.  She was married to Francis Travis Coxe, son of Marcellus Coxe and Florence Sellers, who is my 5th cousin 2x removed.

Ralph Brickel was born January 15, 1916.  He was the second husband of Beatrice Ruth Anna Swain, daughter of Thomas Daniel Swain and Rachel Anna Armstrong, who is my 1st cousin 2x removed through the Armstrongs.

Anita Rose Allen, daughter of Raymond Charles Allen and Elizabeth Ray, was born January 15, 1952.  She is my 5th cousin once removed on my Gauntt line through the Allens.

Debra Jane Gaunt, daughter of Irwin Wilson Gaunt and Shirley Ann Freck, was born January 15, 1957.  She is my 6th cousin.

Joel Baylin was born January 15, 1988 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  He is my 3rd cousin through my Gorodetsky line.

Shannon Nicole Preisner was also born January 15, 1988, but in San Diego, San Diego County, California.  She is the grandniece of my aunt Mary McStroul.

Marriages

Guy Edward Allen and Anna Dziewa were married on January 15, 1983.  Guy, son of Clarence Allen and Grace Stagnato, is my 5th cousin once removed.

Deaths

Joseph Mack, son of Jacob Mack and Catharine Longanecker, died Jnuary 15, 1909 at the age of 78 in Pennsylvania.  He is my 3rd cousin 4x removed on my Sellers line thorugh the Macks.

Anna Schwartz, daughter of Joseph Schwartz and Frieda, died January 15, 2004 at the age of 100.  She was married to Hyman Gordon, son of Victor Gordon and Esther Leah Schneiderman, who is my great-granduncle.
