Carrie Louise Thackeray, daughter of Selector Thackeray and Louisa Moodey, was born November 16, 1879 in Indiana, possibly in Ripley County.  She is my 4th cousin 3x removed on my Gauntt line through the Thackerays.

Alpha E. Thackeray, daughter of Francis Marion Thackeray and Emma Sophia Busch, was born November 16, 1899 in New Point, Decatur County, Indiana.  She is also my 4th cousin 3x removed on my Gauntt line through the Thackerays and is Carrie Louise Thackeray's 1st cousin.

Hyman Gordon (originally Chaim Gorodetsky), son of Avigdor Gorodetsky and Esther Leah Schneiderman, was born November 16, 1899 (November 4 on the Julian calendar) in Kishinev, Besserabia, Russian Empire (now Chisinau, Moldova).  He is my great-granduncle on my Gorodetsky line.

Shelley E. Bonifas, daughter of Joseph W. Bonifas and Delores Gilbert, was born November 16, 1962 in Indiana.  She is my 6th cousin 1x removed on my Gauntt line through the Bonifases.

David Thomas Overlin was born November 16, 1968.  He is my 6th cousin.

Heather McAllister was born November 16, 1978.  She is the 2nd cousin 1x removed of my 1st cousin Albert Lore.

Naomi Aviva Perley was born November 16, 1986.  She is my 4th cousin 1x removed.

Cameron Joachim Rocke was born November 16, 1995.  He is my 2nd cousin 1x removed.

Natalie Desiree Doerner was born November 16, 2005.  She is my grandniece.

Marriage

Harold Ernst Easlick, son of Daniel Leon Easlick and Ella Ritchie Mingen, and Eleanor Braddock were married November 16, 1935, possibly in Elkton, Cecil County, Maryland.  Harold is my 4th cousin on my Gauntt line through the Easlicks.

Deaths

Rebecca Armstrong, daughter of Joel Armstrong and Catherine Stackhouse, died November 16, 1931 in Mount Holly, Burlington County, New Jersey at the age of 85.  She is my 3x-great-grandaunt on my Armstrong line.

Charles Dalton Gaunt, son of Jacob Gaunt and Melvina F. Bennett, died November 16, 1929 in Scarsdale, Westchester County, New York at the age of 69.  He is my 3rd cousin 3x removed via the Gaunts.

Bertram Ruthledge Render died November 16, 1970 in Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska at the age of 54.  He was the husband of Ruth Schumeister, daughter of Henry Schumeister and Celia Perlmutter, who is my 1st cousin 3x removed on my Nowicki line through the Perlmutters.

Edwin Bunting Eckman and Catherine Marie Sellers, daughter of Cornelius Elmer Sellers and Laura May Armstrong, were married June 29, 1937 in Burlington, Burlington County, New Jersey.  Catherine is my grandaunt.

Stephen Roy Chepenik and Gail Arlene Gordon, daughter of Alexander Gordon and Roslyn Rubin, were married June 29, 1969 in Miami, Dade County, Florida (and I was there!).  Gail is my 1st cousin once removed on my Gordon line.

Jeffrey H. Baade and Riana Amine Rocke were married June 29, 1991.  Riana is my 2nd cousin.

Derek Christopher Campbell and Jenepher Hlynn Ellis were married June 29, 1997.  Jenepher is my 2nd cousin once removed.

John A. Gaunt, son of Hananiah Selah Gaunt and Abigail Atkinson, died June 29, 1918 near Lumberton, Burlington County, New Jersey at the age of 69.  He is my great-great-granduncle.

William Bounds Gauntt, Jr., son of William Bounds Gauntt, Sr. and Rebecca C. Zulker, died June 29, 1982 in Burlington County, New Jersey at the age of 64.  He is my 4th cousin once removed on my Gauntt line.

Diane Emily Furman, daughter of Leon Furman and Evelyn Buzen, was born June 19, 1956 in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York.  She is my 2nd cousin on my Meckler line through the Furmans.

Andre Joachim Rocke was born June 19, 1963.  He is my 2nd cousin.

Riana Amine Rocke was born June 19, 1966.  She is the sister of Andre Rocke and also my 2nd cousin.

Erin Brooke Kirsh was born June 19, 1990.  She is my 4th cousin once removed.

Amos Valentine Gaunt, son of Moses M. Gaunt and Margaretta Baucher, and Sadie Penneo were married June 19, 1896 in Camden, Camden County, New Jersey.  Amos is my 2nd cousin 3x removed via the Gaunts.

Harry Garfinkel, son of Eliezer Loius Garfinkel and Doba Ajzner, and Bella Raber were married June 19, 1955 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.  Harry is my 2nd cousin 2x removed on my Meckler line through the Garfinkels.

Clarence Allen, Jr., son of Clarence Allen and Agnes Viola Ledger, and Jean Sylvia were married June 19, 1971.  Clarence Jr. is my 5th cousin on my Gauntt line through the Allens.

Deaths

Amelia Gibson, daughter of John Gibson and Mary, died June 19, 1908 in Lumberton, Burlington County, New Jersey at the age of 77.  She is my great-great-grandmother and died one day after what would have been her late husband/my great-great-grandfather James Gauntt's 77th birthday.

Abraham Sam Perlman, son of Maishe Eli Perlmutter and Ethel Nowicki, died June 19, 1982 in Manhattan, New York County, New York at the age of 85.  He is my 2nd cousin 2x removed on my Nowicki line.

Sidney Baker died June 19, 1999 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada at the age of 69.  He was the husband of Adele Garfinkel, daughter of Eliezer Louis Garfinkel amd Doba Ajzner, who is my 2nd cousin 2x removed on my Meckler line through the Garfinkels, as is her brother Harry, listed in the marriages above.

Raymond Merle Darr, son of Raymond A. Darr and Ethel K. Gaunt, died June 19, 2000, possibly in Burlington, Burlington County, New Jersey, at the age of 76.  He is my 2nd cousin once removed via the Gaunts.

Robert Warren Townsend, son of Clifford Barclay Townsend and Beatrice Fannie Allen, was born June 13, 1935 in New Jersey, also possibly in Burlington County.  He is my 5th cousin once removed on my Gauntt line via the Allens and the nephew of Dorothy Pamela Allen, above.

Deborah Jean Allen, daughter of Jack Allen and Gloria Funiccaro, was born June 13, 1957, possibly in New Jersey.  She is my another 5th cousin once removed on my Gauntt line through the Allens.

Mark Edward Gaunt, son of Mary Wayne Gaunt and Minnie Louise Lotter, died June 13, 1954, probably in Indiana, at the age of 5 years and 5 days.  He is my 6th cousin via the Gaunts.

Jean Katherine Baptiste died June 13, 1964 in Woodbury, Gloucester County, New Jersey at the age of 37.  She was the wife of George Edwin Gaunt, son of John Webber Gaunt and Marian Hannah Livezey, who is my 6th cousin once removed via the Gaunts.

Ronald Gaunt, son of George Edwin Gaunt and Jean Katherine Baptiste (above), also died June 13, 1964 in Woodbury, Gloucester County, New Jersey, apparently during or very soon after childbirth.  He is my 7th cousin via the Gaunts.

John B. Gaunt, son of John Gaunt and Euphemia Thornton, died May 7, 1880 at the age of 54 in Indiana, probably in Jay County.  He is my 2nd cousin 4x removed.

John A. White died May 7, 1896 at the age of 56, possibly in Stony Creek, Warren County, New York.  He was married to Lucy Mariah Fuller, daughter of Lyman Fuller and Eliza, who is the 2nd-great-grandaunt of my aunt Mary McStroul.

John Kunkle, son of Martin Kunkle and Susanna Mock, died May 7, 1907 at the age of 83 in Williams County, Ohio.  He is my 4th cousin 4x removed via the Mocks.

Edward James Garber, son of Zelig Garber and Ida Mekler, died May 7, 1989 at the age of about 72 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.  He is my 2nd cousin 2x removed via the Meklers.

Well, I certainly fell behind again, and after working so hard to catch up!  While I was at RootsTech I couldn't keep up with my events because Family Tree Maker does such an awful job of searching for dates.  I tried downloading Personal Ancestry Writer, a free Macintosh genealogy program, but it doesn't permit date searching at all, and I unfortunately have never installed Reunion on my Mac laptop.  I guess I'll have to plan better before my next trip!

William Owen died February 27, 1878 at the age of about 68 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.  He is my 3rd-great-grandfather.

Daniel Leon Easlick, son of Allen Severs Easlick and Mary E. Shemeley, died February 27, 1960 at the age of 70.  He is my 3rd cousin once removed on my Gauntt line through the Easlicks.

Florence Bernstein, daughter of Sam Bernstein and Rose Gordon, died February 27, 1974 at the age of 45, probably in New York.  She is my 1st cousin 2x removed.

Events in My Family Tree: February 3

I don't have many events for February 3, but one of them illustrates how extended the family is in my family tree program.  One of my Schneiderman cousins had a small treasure trove of telegrams sent for wedding wishes but didn't know how the people who sent them were related to him.  So I did some research, figured out the connections, and then entered everyone into my database so I could more easily share the information with him.  It's a somewhat convoluted path to describe how the first person listed under Deaths is connected to me.

Nellie Elizabeth Sellers, daughter of Cornelius Elmer Sellers and Laura May Armstrong, was born February 3, 1912 in Mount Holly, Burlington County, New Jersey.  She is my grandaunt.

Herbert Kanovsky was born February 3, 1931 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.  He was married to Evelyn Golub, daughter of Harry Golub (originally Golubchik) and Dora Sorin, who is my 3rd cousin once removed on my Meckler line through the Golubchiks.

Hans Joachim Rocke was born February 3, 1939 in Wuppertal, Rhine Province, West Germany.  He was married to Yedida Marcia Amine, daughter of Moshe Amine and Florence Meckler, who is my 1st cousin once removed via the Mecklers.

Coulette Moore was born February 3, 1963 in Mount Holly, Burlington County, New Jersey.  She is my 2nd cousin once removed through my Fox line.

Amy Ann Bennett was born February 3, 1975.  She is my 7th cousin once removed through my Sellers line.

Deaths

Sarah Maurion died February 3, 1964 at the age of about 80 in St. Joseph, Buchanan County, Missouri.  She was the second wife of Frank Owstrach, whose first wife was Eva Petranovsky.  Eva's sister was Annie Rachel Petranovsky, who was married to Sam Schneiderman, son of Joine Schneiderman and Anna Ida.  Sam is my great-great-granduncle, brother of my great-great-grandmother Esther Leah Schneiderman Gorodetsky.

William Kester Allen, son of Cyrus Kunze Allen, Jr. and Clara Barton Shinn, died February 1968 at the age of 60.  He is my 4th cousin once removed on my Gauntt line through the Allens.

Abbie Walton Sellers, daughter of Elmer Ferguson Sellers and Minnie B. Frey, died February 3, 1984 at the age of 87.  She is my 5th cousin 2x removed.

Dorthea Virginia Lynch died February 3, 1994 at the age of 74 in Wabash, Wabash County, Indiana.  She was married to Charles Robert Clark, son of Oren Wilson Clark and Anna Gaunt, who is my 4th cousin 2x removed via the Gaunts.
