Events in My Family Tree: July 1

It was a big surprise to see so many deaths for July 1.  It makes me curious whether it's common for the first of the month to have an increased number of deaths.

Births

Alta Pearl Gaunt, daughter of William Alvin Gaunt and Pearl McGinnis/Guinness, was born July 1, 1904 in Kings County, California.  She is my 4th cousin 2x removed via the Gaunts.

Patrick Clark Gaunt, son of Charles Clayton Gaunt and Doris Lavon Benward, was born July 1, 1941, probably in Indiana.  He is my 6th cousin via the Gaunts.

Thomas Edwin Guy,, son of William Thomas Guy and Patricia Claire Gauntt, was born July 1, 1959, probably in New Jersey or Pennsylvania.  He is my 5th cousin once removed via the Gauntts.

Jennifer Lynn Wakefield was born July 1, 1968.  She is married to Richard John Dunn, who is my 2nd cousin.

Tova Leah Shelley Greenberg was born July 1, 1988.  She is my 3rd cousin.

Marriages

Hillman Applegate and Claire Alice Easlick, daughter of Allen Severs Easlick and Mary E. Shemeley, were married July 1, 1922, probably in Burlington County, New Jersey.  Claire is my 3rd cousin once removed on my Gauntt line through the Easlicks.

David Kardish, son of Israel Kardish and Eva Feldberg, and Margo Zelikovitz were married July 1, 1974 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  David is my 2nd cousin once removed on my Gorodetsky line.

Jay Alan Grobler and Stephanie Beth Annis were married July 1, 1990.  Jay is my 4th cousin once removed.

Deaths

Reuben Lewallen Gaunt, son of Reuben T. Gaunt and Hannah Lewallen, died July 1, 1874 in Greenriver, Burlington County, New Jersey at the age of 61.  He is my 1st cousin 4x removed via the Gaunts.

Jacob Whitacre, son of Joseph Whitacre and Anna Gaunt, died July 1, 1904 in Knox, Jay County, Indiana at the age of 79.  He is my 2nd cousin 4x removed via the Gaunts.

Cannie Beatrice Crawford, daughter of Henry Crawford and America Brooks, died July 1, 1935 in Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia at the age of 37.  She is the great-grandaunt of my not-quite-cousin Angela Williams.

Berdella Martha Elisa Abplanalp died July 1, 1967 in Ripley County, Indiana at the age of 69.  She was the wife of Calvin William Hutson, son of Conner W. Hutson and Rosa A. Bultman, who is my 5th cousin 2x removed on my Gauntt line through the Hutsons.

Neil Gaunt Clark, son of Oren Wilson Clark and Anna G. Gaunt, died July 1, 1970 in Elwood, Madison County, Indiana at the age of 58.  He is my 4th cousin 2x removed via the Gaunts.

Clifford Barclay Townsend died July 1, 1988 in Burlington County, New Jersey at the age of 82.  He was the husband of Beatrice Fannie Allen, daughter of William Daily Allen and Fannie Goldsboro Brown, who is my 5th cousin on my Gauntt line through the Allens.

Edith Claire Gaunt, daughter of Edgar Cooper Gaunt and Mary A. Brown, died July 1, 1994 in Lee County, Florida, possibly in Ft. Myers, at the age of 78.  She is my 5th cousin 2x removed via the Gaunts.

Murray Harold Pollack, son of Isaac Pollack and Bessie Brainin, died July 1, 2002 in Santa Monica, Los Angeles County, California at the age of 71.  He is my 1st cousin 2x removed on my Brainin line.

Annie Mariah Dixon died July 1, 2005 in Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia.  She was married to Preston Crawford, son of Henry Crawford, Jr. and Channy Mariah King, who is the 1st cousin 2x removed of my not-quite-cousin Angela Williams.

Events in My Family Tree: February 7

No marriages for February 7 in my family tree, but I did discover another pair of twins.  Theese Gaunt twins are 3rd cousins once removed of the Votaw twins who were born on January 21, 1883.  The two other pairs of twins who had January birthdays are on different family lines than the Gaunts.

Births

Twins John and Elizabeth Gaunt, children of John Gaunt and Elizabeth Kirby, were born February 7, 1828 in New Jersey.  They are my 3rd cousins 4x removed.

Catherine Fox, daughter of John Fox and Catherine Fisher, was born February 7, 1830 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.  She is my 3rd great-grandaunt.

Margaret Stewart was born February 7, 1953 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  She was married to David Kardash, son of Louis Kardash and Mary Udashkin, who is my 2nd cousin once removed on my Gorodetsky line through the Kardashes.

Melissa Sue Burkett was born February 7, 1973 in Sonora, Tuolomne County, California.  She is married to my 1st cousin Todd Meckler and is a wonderful person whom I am happy to have met.

Erica Borkowski was born February 7, 1976.  She is my 5th cousin 2x removed on my Gauntt line.

Joshua Van Hoy was born February 7, 1981.  He is also my 5th cousin 2x removed on my Gauntt line.

Marla Rose Greenberg was born February 7, 1987 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  She is my 3rd cousin on my Gorodetsky line.

Deaths

Mahlon S. Sellers, son of Thomas Sellers and Elizabeth Schellenberger, died February 7, 1882 at the age of 51, probably in Pennsylvania.  He is my 2nd cousin 4x removed.

Jason Mack, son of John Mack and Mary Woolsey, died February 7, 1902 at the age of 59, possibly in Ohio.  He is my 3rd cousin 4x removed.

Hannah Ridgeway died February 7, 1929 at the age of about 88 in Haddonfield, Camden County, New Jersey.  She was the fourth wife of Selah Benjamin Gaunt, son of Benjamin Selah Gaunt and Hannah Ann Peters, who is my 1st cousin 2x removed.

William Burr Gaunt, son of Reuben Lewallen Gaunt and Jane Weatherby, died February 7, 1942 at the age of 79.  He is my 2nd cousin 3x removed.
