Events in My Family Tree: June 26

This turned out to be a very quiet day for family events, but it does have a husband and wife with the same birthday.

Births

Mildred Louise Gaunt, daughter of Charles Clark Gaunt and Louise F. Stone, was born June 26, 1912 in Kings County, California.  She is my 4th cousin 2x removed via the Gaunts.

John Robert Benham was born June 26, 1922 in Benham, Ripley County, Indiana.  He was the husband of Bessie Marie Hoyer, daughter of Rollin Henry Hoyer and Bessie Floreen Schwier, who is my 6th cousin once removed on my Gauntt line through the Schwiers.

Bessie Marie Hoyer, whose husband John's birthday was detailed above, was born June 26, 1925, exactly three years after her husband, also in Ripley County, Indiana, but in Batesville.   And she's still my 6th cousin once removed.

Stuart Howard Hanner, son of Clifford W. Hanner, Jr. and Sarah Alice Gaunt, was also born June 26, 1925, albeit in Stanislaus County, California.  He is my 5th cousin once removed via the Gaunts.

Jean Margo was born June 26, 1937, possibly in New Jersey.  She was the wife of Henry William Hudson, son of Harry J. Hudson and Irene Elizabeth Allen, who is my 5th cousin on my Gauntt line through the Allens.

Marriage

Harry Golub, son of Yechail Golubchik and Peshe Mekler, and Dora Sorin were married June 26, 1932 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.  Harry is my 2nd cousin 2x removed via the Meklers.

Death

Bertha May Garron died June 26, 1935, possibly in New Jersey, at the age of 46.  She was the wife of Clifford Benjamin Gauntt, son of Isaiah/Isaac Allen Gauntt and Louisa Lemonyon, who is my half 2nd cousin 2x removed on my Gauntt line.

Two days in a row with no marriages, which is unusual.  Also unusual is that there are no Sellers births, only deaths.

Births

Hannah Ann Peters was born April 18, 1826 in New Jersey.  She was married to Benjamin Selah Gaunt, son of Hananiah Selah Gaunt and Mary Elizabeth Rose, who is my 2nd-great-granduncle.

Jacob M. Gantt, son of Joseph Gantt (originally Gaunt) and Mary A. McGowan, was born April 18, 1832 in Pennsylvania, probably in Perry County.  He is my 2nd cousin 4x removed.

Lavonda Imogene Blaylock was born April 18, 1924 in Hammon, Custer or Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.  She was married to Harry Mark Gaunt, Jr., son of Harry Mark Gaunt and Sarah Gayle Kirkendall, who is my 5th cousin once removed.

Clifford W. Hanner, Jr., son of Clifford W. Hanner and Sarah Alice Gaunt, was born April 18, 1924 in Kings County, California.  He is also my 5th cousin once removed.

Lynn Silverberg Sapers was born April 18, 1958 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  She married Larry Charles Moss, who is my 4th cousin on my Meckler line.

Andrea Tolone was born April 18, 1968 in Staten Island, Richmond County, New York.  She married Bradley Sterling Mankin, who is the half-brother of my 2nd cousin once removed Jeff Gordon.

Debi Chase was born April 18, 1969.  She is my 4th cousin once removed on my Gauntt line.

John Joseph Preisner, Jr. was born April 18, 1973 in Tucson, Pima County, Arizona.  He is the nephew of my aunt Mary McStroul.

Allyson Denby McStroul was born April 18, 1975 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California.  She is the 1st cousin once removed of my aunt Mary McStroul.

Samantha Dylan Ortiz was born April 18, 1991 in Nassau County, New York.  She is my 3rd cousin on my Gordon line.

Twins Ryan and Zachary Maraw were born April 18, 1997.  They are my 2nd cousins 2x removed on my Sellers line.

Deaths

Catherine Darstein, daughter of Abraham Darstein and Catherine Sellers, died April 18, 1855 at the age of 72 in Hilltown Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.  She is my 2nd cousin 5x removed via the Sellerses.

Daniel Travis Coxe, son of Travis Coxe and Gertrude Leisenring Neale, died April 18, 1995 at the age of 43 in Marina del Rey, Los Angeles County, California.  He is my 7th cousin on my Sellers line through the Coxes.

I have been learning quite a bit about my family by going through each day's vital events.  Today I learned, or rather relearned, that I have the name Hanner in my family.

Catherine Baker was born February 23, 1773 in York County, Pennsylvania.  She was married to Alexander Mack, son of Alexander Mock, who is my 2nd cousin 6x removed.

Joel Sellers, son of Tobias Sellers and Elizabeth Faber, was born February 23, 1806 in Franconia Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.  He is my 1st cousin 4x removed.

Julia Ann Gaunt, daughter of Benjamin Selah Gaunt and Mary A. Allen, was born February 23, 1873, probably in New Jersey.  She is my 1st cousin 3x removed.

Howard B. Dewees was born February 23, 1892.  He was married to Lulu Harris, daughter of Robert M. Harris and Blanche Gaunt, who is my 4th cousin 2x removed via the Gaunts.

Mary Hester Clark, daughter of Oren Wilson and Anna Gaunt, was born February 23, 1910, probably in Indiana.  She is also my 4th cousin 2x removed via the Gaunts.

Murray Elliot Perlman, son of Abraham Sam Perlman and Stella Joffe, was born February 23, 1921 in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York.  He is my 3rd cousin once removed on my Nowicki line through the Perlmans.

Robert Lincoln Borgers was born February 23, 1930 in Marion, Turner County, South Dakota.  He was married to Mary Alice Gauntt, daughter of Thomas Franklin Gauntt and Anna Marie Stayton, who is my 1st cousin once removed.

Cindy Lee Bullock was born February 23, 1958 in Morristown, Morris County, New Jersey.  She was married to Wayne Eugene Ellis, son of Russell Oliver Ellis and Irene Elise Crater, who is my 2nd cousin on my Gauntt line through the Ellises.

Marni Kushner was born February 23, 1965 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.  She is my 4th cousin on my Meckler line.

Kimberly Ann Schleinkofer was born February 23, 1970.  She is my 5th cousin 2x removed on my Gauntt line.

Angela Jean Williams was born February 23, 1972 in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio.  She is the niece of my aunt Mary McStroul and is also my not-quite-cousin.

Marriage

Osher Kramer and Rose Dupler were married on February 23, 1902, possibly in New York.  They are the parents of Miriam Kramer, who was married to Rubin Perlman, son of Louis Perlman and Jennie Nowicki, who is my 1st cousin 2x removed on my Nowicki line.

Deaths

Mary Gaunt, daughter of John Gaunt and Mary Kinsen, died February 23, 1881 at the age of 88 Camden County, New Jersey.  She is my 1st cousin 5x removed.

Stuart Howard Hanner, son of Clifford W. Hanner, Sr. and Sarah Alice Gaunt, died February 23, 1979 at the age of 53 in Idaho.  He is my 5th cousin once removed via the Gaunts.

Floyd W. Dunstan, son of Frederick Dunstan and Anna Waltz, died February 23, 1973 at the age of about 75 in Cuyahoga Falls, Summit County, Ohio.  He is my 1st cousin 2x removed.
