James Owen Gaynor, son of John Francis Gaynor and Josephine O'Connor, was born December 3, 1901 in Manhattan, New York County, New York.  He is the granduncle of my half-sister Laura Sellers.

Joseph Russell Allen, son of Russell Roberts Allen and Estella A. Horner, was born December 3, 1929 in Tabernacle, Burlington County, New Jersey.  He is my 5th cousin on my Gauntt line through the Allens.

Russell Eli Smith was born December 3, 1930 in New Jersey.  He was the husband of Blanche Catherine Gauntt, daughter of Robert Elwood Gauntt and Elsie May West, who is my 4th cousin 1x removed on my Gauntt line.

Bert Ross, son of Charlie Ross and Annie Garber, was born December 3, 1940 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.  He is my 3rd cousin 1x removed on my Meckler line through the Garbers.

Pamela Elaine Gaunt, daughter of Robert Gaunt and Mary Evelyn Westbrooks, was born December 3, 1952 in Indiana.  She is my 6th cousin via the Gaunts.

Simon Krebs, son of Hirschel Krebs and Philippine Salamon, and Dorothea Schiffer, daughter of Daniel Schiffer and Henriette Meyer, were married December 3, 1828 in Gleiwitz, Obersilesia, Prussia.  Simon and Dorothea are the great-great-grandparents of my aunt Mary McStroul and the 3x-great-grandparents of my not-quite-cousin Angela Williams.

Cyrus Kunze Allen died December 3, 1863 in Medford, Burlington County, New Jersey at the age of about 25.  He was married to Hannah Ann Gaunt, daughter of Joseph L. Gaunt and Elizabeth Hopkins, who is my 2nd cousin 3x removed via the Gaunts.

John B. Slentz, son of Ephraim Slentz and Zilpha Emily Gaunt, died December 3, 1931 in Switz City, Greene County, Indiana at the age of about 56.  He is my 4th cousin 2x removed via the Gaunts.

Adam Kyle Freitag, son of Evan Freitag and Jessica Starkman, died December 3, 1994, possibly in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, at the age of 12.  He is my 4th cousin 1x removed on my Meckler line through the Freitags.

Rachel Carl was born March 16, 1805.  She was married to John Gantt (originally Gaunt), son of Joseph Gaunt and Mary A. Lobaugh, who is my 1st cousin 5x removed.

Franklin Sellers, son of Abraham Sellers and Catharine Kulp, was born march 16, 1817, probably in Pennsylvania.  He is my 2nd cousin 5x removed.

Susan Sellers, daughter of John Leonard Sellers and Elizabeth Wenger, was born March 16, 1837 in Pennsylvania.  She is my 3rd cousin 4x removed.

Orlan Fay Gaunt, son of David Clinton Gaunt and Martha Sophronia Hartman, and Ruth Irene Waybright were married on March 16, 1912 in Hartford City, Blackford County, Indiana.  Orlan is my 4th cousin 2x removed.

Loren Floyd Sellers, son of James Byron Sellers and Mary Catherine Bear, and Dorothy Eilene Crawford were married on March 16, 1935 in Lima, Allen County, Ohio.  Loren is my 5th cousin 2x removed.

Deaths

John Sellers, son of Abraham Sellers and Sophia Bodder and brother of  the Jesse Sellers listed above in the births, died March 16, 1847 at the age of 56, on his brother's 58th birthday.  He is also my 3rd-great-granduncle.

Oliver Bowker, son of Joseph Bowker and Lydia A., died March 16, 1892 at the age of 19 in Trenton, Mercer County, New Jersey.  He is my 2nd cousin 3x removed.

Henry Plummer Gaunt, son of David Gaunt and Pamela Plummer, died March 16, 1897 at the age of about 74 in Gloucester, Gloucester County, New Jersey.  He is my 2nd cousin 4x removed.

Mary Elizabeth Sever died March 16, 1907 at the age of about 56, probably in New Jersey.  She was married to Selah Benjamin Gaunt, son of Benjamin Selah Gaunt and Hannah Ann Peters, who is my 1st cousin 3x removed.

Walter Eugene Major, son of Clayton Major and Ida May Lippincott, was born January 27, 1892 or 1893, in Burlington, Burlington County, New Jersey.  He is my 1st cousin 3x removed via the Lippincotts.

Lois Ann Bennett, daughter of Gerald Richard Bennett and Cecile Marie Bowdle, was born January 27, 1930, probably in Ohio.  She is my 7th cousin through my Sellers line.

Henry Mowery and Nora E. Sellers, daughter of Samuel Sellers and Elizabeth Barton, were married on January 27, 1887 in Auglaize County, Ohio.  Nora is my 4th cousin 3x removed.

David Logan and Estelle Lottie Sellers, daughter of Milton Henry Sellers and Susan Bach, were married on January 27, 1908.  Estelle is my 4th cousin 2x removed.

Victor Bernstein, son of Sam Bernstein and Rose Gordon, and Renee Glass were married on January 27, 1961 in Flushing, Queens County, New York.  Victor is my 1st cousin 2x removed and was named after my great-great-grandfather Victor Gordon.

Mark Perry Nasrallan and Jeanne Helen Eckert, daughter of Roy Howard Eckert and Mary Elma Easlick, were marrked on January 27, 1979 in Mount Holly, Burlington County, New Jersey.  Jeanne is my 4th cousin once removed on my Gauntt line through the Easlicks.


Deaths

David Foote Sellers, son of Edwin Elias Sellers and Olive Lay Foote, died January 27, 1949 at the age of 74 in the Naval Hospital at Bethesda, Maryland.  He is my 4th cousin 3x removed and was a career Navy man (even though his father was career Army).  He achieved the rank of Admiral, and his service including the post of Superintendent at the Naval Academy.  He is buried at Arlington National Cemetery.  The USS Sellers, a guided missile destroyer, was named for him.

Irene Elizabeth Allen, daughter of George N. Allen and Ada E. Mason, died January 27, 1976 at the age of 69 in Burlington County, New Jersey.  She is my 4th cousin once removed on my Gauntt line.

Eleanor Jernee Thomas died January 27, 2005 at the age of 86 in Medford, Burlington County, New Jersey.  She was married to Samuel Naglee Ellis, son of Levi Ellis and Carrie Florence Gauntt, who is my 1st cousin once removed through the Gauntts.

Martha Ann Surran, daughter of William Earl Surran and Martha Ann Naylor, died January 27, 2007.  She is my 3rd cousin once removed on my Gauntt line through the Naylors.

Christmas Eve 2015
